Coppola brings new life into Verdi's 1853 opera that tells the story of tempestuous love and heartbreak. Violetta Val�ry is a well-known courtesan in Paris whose life appears to be glamorous. But she's suffering from a serious illness and living on the money given to her by her male patrons. She ends up meeting and falling in love with Alfredo Germont, a young man from a good family, through tragic circumstances they are torn apart.
